Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking an EMS Instructor to lead course development and deliver EMS education across multiple settings, including classrooms, labs, and clinical sites. You will apply adult-learning principles, assess learner progress, and provide mentorship to novice instructors.

The role emphasizes flexibility in scheduling (Day shifts, PRN/Pool) and requires certification in BLS and at least one AHA instructor level within a year.

Qualifications

• Degree or certificate in an Emergency Care discipline.
• Two years of Emergency Care experience in Wisconsin.
• BLS certification within three months.
• AHA Instructor certification in at least one level within one year.

Responsibilities

• Develop EMT, AEMT, Paramedic and/or AHA course curricula per state and national guidelines.
• Instruct in at least one American Heart Association class (BLS/ACLS/PALS).
• Provide quality instruction across cognitive, psychomotor and affective domains.
• Maintain class records and student progress; provide timely feedback.
• Mentor/supervise junior instructors and adapt teaching to learner needs.
• Travel up to 20% for educational presentations.
