Job summary

Mercyhealth in Wisconsin seeks an EMS Instructor to lead education for EMT, AEMT and Paramedic courses, developing curricula under state and national guidelines. The role covers classroom, lab, clinical and online instruction with emphasis on adult learning principles.

Responsibilities include course development, mentorship of novice instructors, timely feedback, and delivering classes at varied times and locations, including on-site or mobile labs. 20 hours/week, days.

Qualifications

• Degree or certificate in an Emergency Care discipline (EMT, AEMT, Paramedic, RN, PA, DO or MD).
• RN with BSN preferred or enrolled in BSN program.
• Two years of Emergency Care experience in Wisconsin licensed level.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates attributes of a professional educator: self-motivated, effective communicator, time manager, team player.
• Develops and delivers EMT, AEMT, Paramedic courses per state and national guidelines.
• Applies adult learning principles and monitors student progress against criteria.
• Instructs in at least one American Heart Association class (BLS, ACLS, PALS).
• Maintains accurate class records and teaches at varied times/locations.
