Job summary

Ambulnz by DocGo is seeking a Dispatcher Supervisor in New York, NY to oversee emergency dispatch operations and ensure timely ambulance coordination. This full-time role supports 24/7 EMS coverage and requires coordinating a team of dispatch staff across shifts.

Responsibilities include intake, resource coordination, and accurate reporting. The ideal candidate has strong communication, CAD proficiency, and the ability to multi-task in high-pressure environments.

Qualifications

• Experience in emergency dispatch or a similar role.
• Proficient with CAD systems and mapping software.
• Strong communication and listening skills in high-pressure environments.

Responsibilities

• Emergency Call Intake: receive calls from healthcare facilities, individuals, or other sources and gather necessary information.
• Resource Coordination: determine the appropriate level of response and dispatch the nearest available ambulance or medical transportation unit.
• Dispatch Communication: relay critical information to EMS personnel, including location, nature of the emergency, and any special instructions.
• Plans, manages, and reviews the work of assigned dispatch staff for NY Core downstate and participates in staff training.
• Record-Keeping: document all call details, dispatch information, and actions in CAD or other designated software.
• Multitasking: handle multiple calls and incidents, prioritize response, and coordinate resources.
• Monitor and direct Dispatch staff and tasks, including remote dispatch sites; maintain client relationships and stay updated on EMS regulations.
• Documentation and Reporting: prepare reports and data for analysis and reporting purposes.
