Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent completed.
• Minimal medical training or telecommunications experience; EMS/public safety dispatcher experience preferred.
• Strong reading and writing English; clear radio and telephone communication.

Responsibilities

• Receives, records and prioritizes ambulance requests from multiple sources.
• Provides pre-arrival instructions and manages EMS resources per protocol.
• Maintains complete and accurate paperwork and data entry for the shift.
• Generates reports and uses locator aids to locate incident scenes.
• Keeps current knowledge of company policies and procedures.
