Job summary

Falck is seeking a full-time Dispatcher in California to receive calls for medical assistance, dispatch EMS units, and coordinate with field units. The role requires strong communication, data entry, and the ability to work under pressure in a dynamic EMS environment.

Applicants should have EMS/dispatch exposure, basic CAD/software familiarity, and a commitment to customer service. Training is provided and benefits include medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to work effectively with a diverse range of individuals, teams, managers, supervisors, and external customers.
• Typing 40 wpm (minimum).
• Must have the ability to consistently deliver outstanding customer service to all internal and external customers.
• Knowledge of CAD system and range of software recommended.
• Ability to work under high stress and handle rapid changes.

Responsibilities

• Receive and prioritizes all incoming telephone calls; channel emergency and non-emergency calls.
• Dispatch vehicles to emergency and non-emergency calls in a timely manner.
• Make accurate moment-to-moment decisions for dispatch of EMS units.
• Maintain professional telecommunication with field units and agencies; operate radios and paging systems.
• Complete reports and basic data entry; learn new computer programs.
