Job summary

Qualifications

• Three years of experience as a communications specialist or similar EMS role.
• At least one year of supervisory experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily supervisory tasks: scheduling, staffing, annual assessments, and training.
• On-call for departmental issues outside normal hours.
• Coach and mentor Communication Specialists to meet team needs.
• Cover communications duties as needed to ensure coverage.
• Maintain quality and accuracy of transport documentation.
• Manage technical equipment and coordinate with vendors for maintenance.
• Develop relationships with internal/external customers and agencies.
• Create and maintain CQI data and reports for the Director.
• Coordinate pricing/details for long-range flights and training.
• Lead preceptors through training processes for new Specialists.
• Monitor training to ensure solid foundational knowledge.
