Job summary

PHI Health in Tempe, AZ seeks a Communications Supervisor to lead the Communications Center, oversee scheduling, staffing, training, and performance assessments, and ensure timely, accurate dispatch operations. You will develop strong internal and external relationships, coach a team of Communication Specialists, and drive CQI initiatives while supporting on-call coverage and daily operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years experience as a communications specialist.
• Minimum of one year supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and interpersonal communication skills.
• Must read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Experience with radio/medical terminology and EMS systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily supervisory functions including scheduling and staff communications.
• On-call for departmental issues outside normal hours.
• Coach and mentor Communication Specialists to meet team needs.
• Maintain quality and accuracy of transport documentation.
• Maintain and coordinate equipment and contract vendors.
• Develop reports for the Director and track CQI metrics.
• Coordinate price quotes and details for long-range flights.
• Support Flight Coordinator duties as required.
