Job summary

Hope Network / Holt House is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for part-time 3rd shift. The DSP helps individuals build independence and integrates them into the community, assisting with activities of daily living, mobility, health management, and social participation.

The role requires high school diploma, Michigan driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs., and CPR/First Aid certification. Shift includes weekends and holidays; benefits and career growth are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/ GED
• Valid Michigan driver’s license
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to become certified in CPR/First Aid
• Shift Full-Time / Part Time including weekends and holidays
• Possess basic computer skills

Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure safety 24/7 with checks (eyes-on, one-on-one, 15- or 30-minute checks)
• Support crisis prevention, intervention, and resolution
• Establish collaborative relationships built on trust and empathy
• Foster partnership with individuals served, the community, and other professionals
• Help build skills for problem-solving, communication, and independence
• Assist person served with social and leisure activities and ADLs
• Monitor vitals and communicate medical information
• Attend medical appointments and relay information between providers and care team
