Work Opportunities Unlimited (WOU) is seeking an Employment Specialist to help individuals find meaningful employment. You will teach resume writing, applications, cover letters, and interview prep, and engage with local businesses to create job opportunities.

The role involves coaching individuals at their job sites and traveling in the local community (mileage reimbursement). This part-time position runs Monday–Friday, 20–25 hours, with pay of $22–$24 per hour, and requires a valid driver’s

Qualifications

• Experience delivering high-touch customer service in dynamic settings.
• Comfortable using MS Office and recording notes in an electronic system.
• Willingness to travel within the local community using a personal vehicle.

As an Employment Specialist (known internally as a Career Resource Specialist) you will help individuals find meaningful employment.

A typical day might include the following:

• Working with individuals to develop career goals and objectives
• Teaching individuals how to create a customized resume, fill out effective job applications, write cover letters, and prepare for interviews
• Engaging with local businesses to develop potential job opportunities
• Coaching and guiding individuals at their job sites
• Community-based travel in your personal vehicle to facilitate community-based job development and coaching, ensuring all services are delivered directly in the local environment. (mileage reimbursement provided)

• Valid driver's license and comfortable traveling within your local community
