Duties

1. Provide employment law counseling to venture capital firms and investment clients
2. Collaborate with the fund formation team to address employment-related matters for fund clients
3. Draft and negotiate employment agreements, offer letters, severance packages, and policies
4. Advise on employment-related compliance, compensation, and organizational issues
5. Participate in employment-related due diligence for investments and transactions
6. Support occasional employment litigation or dispute resolution matters as needed

Requirements

• 3–6 years of relevant experience in employment and labor law
• Background in working with clients in the venture capital or investment space preferred
• Ability to manage multiple client needs in a fast-paced, dynamic practice
• Demonstrated initiative, responsiveness, and collaborative working style

Education

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

Active bar membership in New York, or eligibility for admission

Skills
