This role offers the opportunity to counsel and represent management-side clients in a wide range of employment law matters. Duties
  1. Advise management-side clients on employment/independent contractor agreements, wage and hour compliance, employee leave/ADA accommodation, terminations, and separation agreements
  2. Review and draft employment manuals, policies, and handbooks
  3. Represent clients in employment litigation and administrative proceedings
  4. Provide strategic counseling on labor and employment-related risk management
  5. Collaborate across practice groups to support multi-disciplinary client needs
  6. Participate in firm-wide diversity, pro bono, and public service initiatives
Requirements
  • Minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience practicing employment law
  • Labor/union experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of management-side employment issues
  • Ability to manage a significant workload independently and as part of a team
Education

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications
  • Admission to the New York State Bar required
  • Admission to the California State Bar is a plus
