Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in Joliet, IL is seeking an Employee Relations Manager to lead proactive and reactive initiatives across field operations. You will collaborate with operations leaders, HR, safety, legal, and contractors to improve employee experience and ensure fair treatment.

This full-time role requires travel up to 50% domestically and on-site presence at least three days per week, with the ability to influence programs network-wide and mentor ER professionals.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in employee relations, labor relations, or labor/employment law.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint).
• Experience supporting large hourly workforces.
• Experience analyzing and using metrics to identify improvements in employee experience.

Responsibilities

• Detect and mitigate risks in employee relations; develop and implement solutions.
• Crisis management for time-sensitive partner issues.
• Own large-scale, network-wide projects and ensure on-time delivery.
• Analyze data and anecdotes to build persuasive recommendations.
• Leverage AI tools to analyze data, automate tasks, and improve processes.
• Communicate high-quality written materials; design and deliver engaging trainings.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to influence change.
• Work independently in ambiguous environments to resolve issues.
• Scale programs to networks of sites and partners.
• Mentor and develop ER team members.
