Job summary

Amazon Inc. is hiring an Employee Relations Manager for North America to oversee proactive and reactive ER initiatives across field operations. The role focuses on promoting a positive employee experience, with significant travel and on‑site presence three days per week.

You will lead large‑scale programs, partner with HR, safety, legal and operations, and report to an Employee Relations Principal. The position emphasizes judgment, communication, and mentoring junior ER staff.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of employee relations, labor relations, or labor/employment law experience.
• Experience supporting large hourly workforces.
• Experience analyzing and using metrics to identify improvements in employee relations.
• Advanced degree, JD, or related training in labor/employee relations.

Responsibilities

• Detect and mitigate risks by identifying trends, gaps, and challenges; implement solution‑oriented programs.
• Crisis management: address time‑critical partner issues with sound judgment.
• Project management: own large‑scale, network‑wide projects delivering on time.
• Analyze and interpret data to develop persuasive narratives and recommendations.
• Use AI tools to analyze data, automate routine tasks, and improve processes.
• Communicate effectively: create high‑quality written analyses and engaging trainings.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to influence change.
• Problem solve independently in ambiguous situations and remove barriers.
• Work at scale: establish sustainable mechanisms for networks.
• Hire and develop the best: mentor and grow field ER team.
