Job summary

Hines in Houston is seeking an Employee Relations Lead to manage day-to-day ER matters, advise managers, and conduct investigations across the business. You will protect confidentiality, identify risks, and escalate significant issues to Legal as needed.

You’ll coordinate case intake, tracking, and resolution with cross-functional HR partners. The role requires five years of ER experience, a Bachelor’s degree, and proficiency with NAVEX and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Five years of progressive experience in employee relations, HR generalist work, investigations, or closely related field.
• Experience supporting employees and managers in a multi-state organization; global/matrix experience preferred.
• Experience using NAVEX or a comparable case-management system preferred.
• Experience conducting workplace investigations and advising on conduct and corrective action.

Responsibilities

• Own and coordinate assigned employee relations cases from intake through resolution with documentation and next steps.
• Advise managers and HR partners on performance, conduct, policy interpretation, and consistent treatment.
• Plan and conduct impartial workplace investigations with evidence-based findings and recommendations.
• Escalate matters with significant risk and partner with Legal on holds, mediations, and document requests.
• Maintain ER records and support NAVEX data quality, reporting, and consistency.
