Job summary

Christman Company is seeking a Project Manager to lead commercial construction efforts from planning through warranty. You will coordinate with owners, architects, and subcontractors, define scope and staffing, and manage bid processes and post‑bid reviews.

The role emphasizes schedule, safety, and effective communication. You will establish subcontract expectations, maintain client relationships, and oversee project planning deliverables with the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum five years of commercial construction experience in a leadership role.
• Completion of classes or training in Construction Management, Project Management, Safety, or Communication—or equivalent.
• Ability to interact with a wide range of people and develop effective working relationships.
• Ability to plan, schedule, and organize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Basic computer knowledge of Microsoft 365 including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with owners, architects, and subcontractors on risk, timelines, costs/budgets, and change management.
• Define scope of work and deliverables.
• Determine staffing requirements and establish a work plan and schedules for each project phase.
• Prepare project manuals, work category descriptions and other components for a bid package.
• Manage the CM bid process and post bid reviews.
• Serve as a team member on hard bid teams as needed.
• Establish project goals related to schedule, safety, accounting, labor relations, EEO, and data processing/reporting.
• Maintain client relationships from contract start through warranty period.
• Coordinate development and delivery of planning services with the Project Planning Leader.
• Oversee processing of project information documents related to contracts, bulletins, field work orders, and change orders.
