Job summary

PERRY proTECH in Ohio is seeking a Technical Sales Specialist to support the sales team with expert IT solutions. You will conduct in-depth technical discussions, assess client networks, and help design and propose hardware, software, and hosting solutions to meet client goals.

This role requires strong communication, strategic thinking, and the ability to translate complex tech into business value for non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Information Technology field.
• Associate degree or equivalent with a demonstrated successful work history.
• Experience with Microsoft ecosystem including Servers, Entra ID, Exchange, Teams and Azure.
• Understanding of a SaaS model and hosting solutions.
• Understanding of basic network technologies including wireless technologies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth technical discussions with clients, focusing on business goals and outcomes.
• Investigate client networks and complete network assessments which will support solution proposals and develop strategic direction.
• Collaborate with technical resources to design and build proper hardware and infrastructure solutions
• Support sales during quoting and proposal/closing process as the primary technical resource
• Understand clients’ needs especially with compliance and regulations
• Partner with sales to identify, qualify and develop new opportunities within existing and prospective accounts
• Prepare and present KPI and SLA performance reviews with clients and internal staff, creating action plans where appropriate
• Support sales through Quarterly Business Review process by serving as the resource for all technical-related topics
