Job summary

Sundt Construction in Dallas, TX is seeking a Project Engineer II who serves as the technical source of information for the project, with strong knowledge of construction documents, subcontracts, and purchase orders. You will respond to questions on drawings, specs, and change orders, while maintaining professional relationships with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.

This role includes progression from Step I to II to Senior, with three years of experience in this

Qualifications

• Four-year construction-related degree or equivalent technical training and related experience.
• Minimum of three to four years of similar construction engineering experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to supervise and train Field Engineer positions if required.

Responsibilities

• Understand the project management plan and change management processes.
• Develop a procurement schedule and integrate with the CPM schedule.
• Coordinate submittals with other trades and review for contract compliance.
• Maintain As-built contract documents and close-out requirements.
• Assist with concrete form design and takeoffs for concrete and utilities.
• Plan, develop and supervise project team members for relentless execution.
• Prepare and maintain quantity reporting, agendas, and meeting minutes.
• Prepare/review change orders and cost control budget adjustments.
• Prevent claims and identify potential claims, quantifying and mitigating effects.
