Job summary

Sundt is seeking a Project Engineer to serve as the technical source of information on construction documents, subcontracts, and purchase orders. You will respond to questions about drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and change orders, and maintain professional relationships with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.

The position advances through three steps (I, II, and Senior) and requires 5+ years of electrical construction experience, along with a four-year

Qualifications

• Four-year construction-related degree or equivalent training and 3-4 years of similar construction engineering experience.
• 5+ years of electrical construction projects.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to supervise Field Engineer positions if required.

Responsibilities

• Understand PMP components and change management processes for project execution.
• Develop procurement schedule and integrate with CPM; coordinate submittals.
• Understand contracts, budgets and cost control; maintain logs and reports.
• Maintain and organize 'As-built' contract documents and close-out requirements.
• Assist in concrete form design and takeoffs for concrete, asphalt, earthwork, and utilities as required.
• Plan, develop and supervise project team members to ensure relentless execution.
• Prepare and maintain quantity reporting mechanisms and meeting minutes.
• Prepare and review change orders, including time extensions, and distribute documents to field personnel.
• Identify potential claims and quantify/mitigate effects to prevent claims.
