Job summary

Central States Manufacturing, Inc. is seeking an Employee-Owner Sales Manager to provide strategic oversight of the inside sales function within the manufacturing division.

You will ensure the consistent application of standard operating procedures, drive customer service and retention, and help achieve divisional sales objectives. You will lead a team of Territory Sales Managers, coach performance, optimize territories, coordinate with operations and production, and strengthen customer

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of management experience in customer service environment.
• Ability to create presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint is preferred.
• Ability to analyze data using Microsoft Excel is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the inside sales team.
• Staff, train, and conduct performance evaluations to develop team members and control sales strategy execution.
• Coach Territory Sales Managers on activities and performance and ensure KPI alignment.
• Lead succession planning and maintain leadership bench within the team.
• Develop and implement sales plans aligned with divisional priorities.
• Ensure SOPs are consistently executed and monitor KPI performance.
• Build and maintain long-term customer relationships and support retention initiatives.
• Engage directly with customers to strengthen partnerships and gather insights.
• Collaborate with Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain and Production to align sales with capacity and inventory.
• Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement for sales quality and processes.
