Job summary

The Hartford is seeking an Employee Benefits Director, Relationship Management to lead our East Region team. This role oversees a mix of Assistant Directors, Relationship Managers, and Client Relationship Executives, with responsibility for driving persistency, growth, customer satisfaction, and overall book-of-business performance.

You will develop talent, push for operational excellence, and partner with the AVP and peers to shape segment strategy while delivering a superior customer

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Group Benefits experience, with at least five years in relationship management.
• Five+ years leading teams; inspirational leader desired.
• Group Life & Health license required; CE requirements ongoing.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Willing to travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Establish and execute a strategic vision for the Regional Accounts org.
• Lead a high-performing team of Relationship Management leaders.
• Translate enterprise strategies into priorities and measurable goals.
• Partner with Sales, Underwriting, Claims, and Service to deliver solutions.
• Drive retention, growth, and customer experience across book of business.
• Monitor performance metrics and drive operational excellence.
