Job summary

Dollar General in Moses Lake, WA is seeking a Store Manager Candidate to support the Store Manager in all store processes, supervision, inventory, stocking and customer service. This role is designed to foster external candidate development for Store Manager leadership.

The position requires strong knowledge of merchandising, inventory, cash handling and policy compliance, with a focus on delivering excellent service and meeting in-stock targets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment preferred for external candidates.
• Ability to learn and perform cash register functions and generate reports.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with store merchandising and proper pricing of merchandise.
• Assist in all aspects of inventory management and annual/periodic inventories.
• Follow prescribed ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide superior customer service leadership.
• Maintain store safety, cleanliness and security procedures.
• Support opening/closing activities and cash controls.
