Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager Candidate to support the Store Manager in supervising staff, managing inventory, stocking, and receiving. This role focuses on developing external candidates for the Store Manager position and is temporary in nature.

The candidate will assist in all store processes, ensure proper merchandising, and maintain strong customer service leadership while adhering to company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2+ years in a leadership/managerial role.
• 2+ years in a retail grocery environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with merchandising and inventory controls to meet in-stock targets.
• Support store operations, paperwork, and cash handling procedures.
• Provide strong customer service leadership and daily store supervision.
• Open and close store operations and manage deposits.
