Job summary

Dollar General Store Manager Candidate in Washington State supports the Store Manager in supervision, staffing, inventory, stocking, receiving, and overall store operations to develop an external candidate for the Store Manager role. Responsibilities include recruiting, merchandising, inventory controls, cash handling, deposits, and maintaining a safe, well-stocked store aligned with company policies.

Occasional travel to neighboring stores may be required, with emphasis on leadership

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment preferred for external candidates.
• Knowledge of cash handling and deposit controls.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with store merchandising and staging of merchandise.
• Assist in all aspects of inventory management and proper documentation.
• Follow ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide customer service leadership and store operations support.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures and maintain security practices.
• Participate in store opening/closing activities and banking tasks.
• Review operating statements to identify trends and opportunities.
