Job summary

Walmart Inc. is offering an Emerging Store Manager (ESM) developmental leadership role in the United States. The program trains associates across merchandising, people leadership, financial management, customer experience, and community engagement to prepare for Store Manager opportunities.

The assignment lasts up to 12–18 months with mobility within the region. The ESM develops store operations expertise, analyzes reports and forecasts budgets, and supports staffing plans and succession

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in management, business administration, retail management or related field.
• 4 years' management experience in a retail/operations environment with supervising and developing staff.

Responsibilities

• Develop and mentor associates for Store Manager opportunities.
• Assist in managing store financial performance and budgeting.
• Lead and communicate goals, monitor performance and provide feedback.
• Support staffing plans, succession planning and talent pipelines.
• Build community relationships and represent Walmart to stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to policies, safety and asset protection standards.
