Walmart is offering an Emerging Store Manager (ESM) developmental leadership role in the St. Louis area. The program prepares associates for Store Manager opportunities by training across merchandising, people leadership, finance, and customer experience within Walmart US store operations.

The assignment lasts 12–18 months with mobility within the region, and completion may lead to Store Manager placement or reallocation based on performance and business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in management or related field with leadership responsibilities.
• 4+ years in a management role within retail/operations/distribution with supervision and development of staff.
• 2 years general management with financial accountability.
• Firearms CBC/eligibility requirements where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead store operations readiness and merchandising strategy.
• Support financial performance by learning budgeting and reporting processes.
• Lead staffing plans and talent pipelines for Store Manager placement.
• Promote community engagement and adherence to Walmart policies and integrity standards.
