Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club in Bel Air, MD is seeking an Assistant Club Manager in Training (AMIT) to lead with the Club Manager, develop talent, and drive department performance across Merchandising, Perishables, or Member Experience. This program provides focused development, leadership opportunities, and hands-on experience.

You will participate in certification and training, including ServSafe, ensuring GOLD standards and a premier member experience while supporting daily club operations and team

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in retail store, supermarket, or warehouse operations management.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities and cross-functional team management.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of shrink controls, staffing, merchandising, customer service, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic department leadership across assigned departments (Merchandising, Perishables, or Member Experience).
• Recruit, hire, and onboard team members with training and certification.
• Oversee labor planning and scheduling to align with sales trends and budgets.
• Drive sales, inventory control, and shrink management while maintaining service standards.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and internal audits; support transitions and special projects.
