Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club in Alexandria, VA seeks an Assistant Club Manager in Training (AMIT) to lead assigned departments, develop talent, and uphold GOLD standards. You will report to the Club Manager and prepare for one of three tracks: Merchandising, Perishables, or Member Experience.

This role requires a ServSafe certification, strong leadership, and the ability to hire and onboard staff, while driving operational excellence and a consistently outstanding member experience.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of retail store/warehouse operations management experience.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to recruit, hire, onboard and develop talent.
• Knowledge of store operations and omni procedures is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic department leadership across Merchandising, Perishables, or Member Experience.
• Recruit, hire and onboard team members with certification and training.
• Oversee labor planning and scheduling to meet targets.
• Drive sales, inventory control and shrink management.
• Enforce food safety, club standards and operational readiness.
• Lead cross-functional teams and ensure high member satisfaction.
