Job summary

Animal Emergency & Specialty Center of Knoxville seeks a Veterinary Receptionist to be the welcoming first point of contact for clients and their pets in a fast-paced emergency and specialty setting.

You will manage check-ins/outs, answer questions, coordinate with veterinarians and staff, process payments, and maintain accurate records while delivering compassionate customer service during stressful visits. Weekday day shifts with one weekend shift required.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of veterinary client service or receptionist experience.
• Strong customer service background with professional conduct.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stay calm and compassionate in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and patients with empathy and professionalism.
• Manage check-ins and check-outs efficiently.
• Answer questions and address client concerns promptly.
• Coordinate updates between clients and veterinary staff.
• Process payments and handle point-of-sale transactions accurately.
• Maintain accurate medical records and confidentiality.
