You will manage check-ins, schedule appointments, and coordinate with veterinary staff while handling payments and maintaining records. The role emphasizes empathy, clear communication, and teamwork in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 1+ year veterinary client service or receptionist experience.
• Emergency, specialty, or urgent care experience is a plus.
• Strong customer service background with professional handling of challenging situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience with POS systems and financial transactions.
• Ability to remain calm and compassionate in a fast-paced emergency environment.
• Independent and team collaboration abilities.
• Interest in building a long-term career in veterinary medicine.

Responsibilities

• Welcome clients and patients with empathy and professionalism.
• Manage patient check-ins and check-outs.
• Answer questions and address client concerns promptly.
• Provide updates and facilitate communication between clients and staff.
• Deliver exceptional service during emergencies and specialty visits.
• Process payments, invoices, and POS transactions accurately.
• Maintain financial records and documentation.
• Assist with appointment scheduling and referrals.
• Prepare and maintain accurate medical records.
• Explain treatment plans and discharge instructions.
• Educate clients on medications and preventive care.
• Support clients through emotional situations with empathy.
• Escalate concerns when needed.
• Coordinate with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff.
• Assist with communication during emergencies.
• Keep reception area organized, efficient, and welcoming.
