Job summary

VEG ER for Pets in Cary, NC seeks an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our fast-paced emergency team. You will participate in triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing, delivering gold standard, emotionally intelligent care for pets and families.

You will work alongside doctors and a supportive team, handling cases from routine to complex with compassion, professionalism, and a commitment to ongoing learning and mentorship in a 24/7 ER

Responsibilities

• Treat every patient and person like they matter—support patients and clients through tests and treatments.
• Deliver nursing care, treatments, and emotional support from triage to discharge.
• Administer meds, monitoring, and advanced therapies as needed (IVs, transfusions, etc.).
• Communicate as a teammate and help shape care plans to keep flow steady.
• Be ready to perform CPR and support emergency procedures as trained.
• Handle diagnostics, imaging, sample collection, and tube placements.
• Assist in anesthesia and advanced techniques as required.
