Job summary

VEG for Pets is seeking a part-time Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line emergency team. You will assist doctors, manage triage, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing while providing compassionate support to pet parents.

You will work in a fast-paced hospital environment, handle a wide range of cases, and continue growing your practical skills with mentorship and ongoing learning opportunities.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience as a veterinary technician, preferably in emergency or specialty medicine.
• Associate's or higher in veterinary technology from an AVMA-accredited program preferred.
• Credentialed as a veterinary technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) in the practice state required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care, treatments, and emotional support in critical moments.
• Assist doctors with triage, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and care.
• Handle medications, monitoring equipment, IVs, and blood products as needed.
• Communicate clearly with teammates and support patient families during emergencies.
• Participate in CPR and use advanced techniques as trained.
