Job summary

VEG ER for Pets is seeking an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our frontlines team. You will perform triage, nursing care, diagnostics, anesthesia and critical care, collaborating closely with doctors to deliver gold‑standard care for pets and support for anxious owners.

You will work in a fast‑paced emergency environment, requiring empathy, strong communication, and the ability to stay calm under pressure while caring for a wide range of cases.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; AVMA accredited program preferred.
• Credentialed veterinary technician (CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT) in state of practice.
• 1+ years in a veterinary technician role; emergency experience preferred.
• Able to lift up to 25 kg, work nights/weekends/holidays as needed.
• Strong communication and ability to handle fast-paced emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care, triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia and critical care nursing.
• Assist doctors and maintain compassionate support for clients during emergencies.
• Perform CPR when needed and manage monitoring and treatments through discharge.
• Operate diagnostics, imaging, sample collection, and tubing placement.
• Collaborate with team to keep care plans moving smoothly.
