Job summary

VEG seeks an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician in California to deliver high-quality emergency care. You will be on the front lines with doctors, handling triage, treatments, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing while supporting pet parents during stressful moments.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year of vet tech experience, a state-credentialed CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT, and comfort with fast-paced environments. Night/weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher strongly preferred.
• Credentialed Veterinary Technician in the practicing state is required.
• 1+ years in a veterinary technician role; emergency or specialty experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with practice management software and EMR.

Responsibilities

• Treat every patient and person with care, staying by their side through tests and treatments.
• Provide nursing care, diagnostics, anesthesia monitoring, and critical care support.
• Assist with CPR and emergency procedures as part of the team.
• Communicate clearly with doctors, teammates, and pet parents to plan care.
• Utilize diagnostics, imaging, sampling, and tube placement as needed.
