Job summary

VEG seeks an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line emergency team. You will handle cases from triage to discharge, delivering compassionate, high-quality care with doctors and the team.

Responsibilities include anesthesia, monitoring, diagnostics, and critical care nursing, while maintaining clear communication with pet parents and staff. Night/weekend/Holiday shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; AVMA-accredited program preferred.
• Credential as Veterinary Technician in the practice state; VTS a plus.
• 1+ year experience in veterinary tech, emergency or specialty preferred.
• Proficiency with practice management software and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and emotional support from triage to discharge.
• Assist with diagnostics, imaging, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing.
• Handle IVs, CRIs and blood transfusions as needed.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to maintain gold-standard care.
• Communicate clearly and support care plans across the team.
