Job summary

VEG is seeking an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line emergency care team. You’ll perform triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing, while offering compassionate support to pet parents during stressful moments.

Ideal candidates are CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT certified, with 1+ year in veterinary tech roles, including emergency or specialty settings. Night/weekend shifts and a fast-paced, team-driven environment are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree or higher in veterinary technology preferred
• Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT) in the state is required
• 1+ year experience in a veterinary technician role; emergency or specialty medicine preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Comfort with standing, lifting up to 25 kg, and working in a noisy, odorous setting

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care, treatments, and emotional support from triage to discharge
• Assist with diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing
• Administer meds, IVs, CRIs, and blood products as needed
• Collaborate with doctors and team to maintain smooth patient flow
• Ensure clear communication and leadership of care plans
• Utilize advanced techniques and equipment as available
