VEG is hiring an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line ER team. You will manage a broad range of emergencies, from triage to critical care, collaborating with doctors to deliver compassionate, high-quality care for pets and their families.

The role emphasizes growth, mentorship, and mastery in advanced nursing, anesthesia, imaging, and diagnostics within a fast-paced hospital setting. You will work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or higher in veterinary technology preferred.
• Credentialed as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) in the state of the VEG practice; VTS in ECC/IM/anesthesia is a plus.
• 1+ years of experience in a veterinary technician role; emergency or specialty medicine preferred.
• Basic computer skills and experience with practice management software/EMR.
• Excellent communicator and able to work under pressure.
• Capable of standing for long periods and lifting up to 25 kg (up to 40 kg with assistance).
• Willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care from triage through discharge in emergency cases.
• Support doctors with treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, and monitoring.
• Assist with IVs, CRIs, blood transfusions, and related procedures.
• Communicate effectively with team to ensure smooth care flow.
• Perform procedures using imaging, sample collection, and tubes as needed.
• Assist with anesthesia for fragile patients.
