Job summary

University of Florida is seeking a Veterinary Client Services Supervisor for the Emergency & Critical Care unit on main campus in Gainesville. This role leads a team of 7–9 full-time employees with additional part-time staff, ensuring excellent client service and smooth operations during high-stress periods.

The successful candidate will have an Associate's degree (or equivalent experience), strong communication skills, and experience with budgeting and staff scheduling to support quality

Qualifications

• Associates degree plus 2 years relevant experience, or high school diploma plus 4 years relevant experience.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and anatomy is preferred.
• Ability to operate computer systems and MS Office suite, including Excel.

Responsibilities

• Supervise 7–9 full-time staff and several part-time team members at the Emergency & Critical Care Client Services desk.
• Provide exceptional client service and maintain professional image under high-stress conditions.
• Coordinate scheduling, staffing, and budgets to ensure adequate coverage and quality patient care.
• Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and care teams; build relationships and resolve issues promptly.
