Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution; substitutions available: Associate’s Degree + 4 years veterinary experience or HS diploma/GED + 6 years veterinary experience.
• 4+ years of veterinary experience.
• Outstanding communication skills and ability to engage employees at all levels of the organization.
• Experience in veterinary technician recruitment, leadership, and retention.

Responsibilities

• Develop recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention strategies to attract, hire, and retain veterinary support staff.
• Oversee veterinary technician internships and externships with local and non-local programs to build future talent pipelines.
• Provide day-to-day operational leadership as a floor supervisor, including workflow management, shift coordination, and staffing coverage.
• Partner with Faculty Service Leaders and collaborate with students, interns, residents, clinicians, and clients to support clinical operations and educational objectives.
• Ensure consistent, high-quality patient care including triage, stabilization, treatment, monitoring, and urgent decision-making.
• Manage client service needs and ensure accurate charge capture within the unit.
• Perform supervisory and administrative functions including performance reviews, disciplinary actions, leave approvals, timecard reconciliation, budgeting, and staffing utilization.
