Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA is seeking an RN for the Emergency Department. The role follows the Nursing Process from admission to discharge, including patient assessment, care planning, and care coordination within a fast-paced ER setting.

Required: Massachusetts nursing license and BLS; ACLS if not current; BSN preferred. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is available for external new hires. Schedule includes day shifts, weekends, and holidays, with 32 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for patient care from admission to discharge.
• Performs patient assessment/reassessment according to standard procedures.
• Develops and coordinates care plans including discharge planning.
• Directs and evaluates nursing care within the assigned setting.
• Documents patient care per policy and procedure.
• Administers medications and assists with procedures and tests.
• Participates in nursing governance and quality improvement.
• Supports professional growth and staff development.
