Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time day shift in the Emergency Department. You will provide direct patient care using the nursing process, perform assessments, plan and coordinate care, and collaborate with the health care team.

The position offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus for external hires and requires Massachusetts nursing licensure, BLS, and ACLS as applicable.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS certification required for every RN; ACLS current may be required.
• BSN degree is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for the delivery and management of patient's care from Admission to Discharge.
• Performs patient assessment/reassessment according to standard procedure.
• Develops and coordinates individual plan of care including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluate nursing care within assigned clinical setting.
• Documents patient care according to standard procedure.
• Administers medications, performs treatments, therapies and operates equipment as required.
• Participates in performance improvement initiatives and demonstrates quality improvement in daily operations.
