Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Marlborough, MA is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department to oversee patient care from admission to discharge, following the Nursing Process and coordinating discharge planning.

The role requires MA RN licensure, BLS, ACLS/PALS, and eligibility for CEN within 12 months; three years ER hospital experience preferred; offers a comprehensive benefits package and a signing bonus may be available.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS is a requirement for every RN unless ACLS certification is current.
• ACLS, PALS and eligibility to obtain CEN upon hire with a 12‑month deadline.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for patient care from admission to discharge.
• Performs patient assessments and develops care plans including discharge planning.
• Directs and coordinates nursing care within the assigned setting.
• Delivers education to patient and family and documents care activities.
• Collaborates with other health professionals to ensure quality care.
