Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department in Worcester, MA. This 24-hour on-site night-shift role (11p-7:30a) requires Massachusetts RN licensure and BLS; ACLS for some units.

The department emphasizes governance, education, and performance improvement, with a $6,000 sign-on available for external hires. Responsibilities include using the nursing process from admission to discharge, patient assessment, discharge planning, and interprofessional collaboration

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS is a requirement for every RN unless ACLS certification is current.
• BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for delivery and management of patient care.
• Performs patient assessment and discharge planning.
• Directs and evaluates nursing care within the clinical setting.
• Documents care and coordinates patient education plans.
• Ensures quality and continuity of care through collaboration.
