Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA is seeking a registered nurse for the Emergency Room. You will deliver patient care from admission through discharge using the Nursing Process, with 7pm–7:30am shifts and a 36-hour work week. A $6,000 sign-on bonus is available for external new hires subject to eligibility.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS certification is required; ACLS as applicable to unit.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for patient care from admission to discharge.
• Performs patient assessment and reassessment.
• Develops and coordinates plan of care including discharge planning.
• Directs and coordinates nursing care within assigned clinical setting.
• Documents patient care according to standard procedures.
• Supports Education Plan for patient/family and staff development.
• Participates in quality improvement and governance activities.
