Job summary

HCA Florida West Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department on a PRN basis. The RN coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with physicians and the care team, following established nursing models.

You will advocate for patients and educate families about conditions, treatments, and self-management. The role requires ACLS, BCLS, PALS within specified timeframes and an Associate Degree with RN licensure.

Qualifications

• Works with care team to provide individualized and compassionate care.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management.
• Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Responds promptly to patient requests and anticipates needs to resolve issues.
• Teaches patients/families/caregivers about condition, treatment plan, medications and follow-up measures.
• Prepares patients and families for future self-management and healthy lifestyle changes.
