Job summary

Sierra Medical Center, part of Northern Nevada Health System, is a 170-bed acute care hospital offering 24/7 ER care among other services. This part-time Emergency Department RN role features a $7,500 sign-on bonus and a dual clinical/managerial function within a busy ED.

Qualifications

• 2 years ED experience required.
• Current RN license within the state of practice.
• Current BCLS Certification.
• ACLS Certified within six (6) months of hire.
• PALS within six (6) months of hire.
• ENPC and TNCC optional.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care in the emergency department and evaluates outcomes.
• Performs head-to-toe assessments and reassessments per policy for diverse patient groups.
• Assesses and manages pain, educating patients and families on pain control.
• Uses triage processes to ensure timely and appropriate care and accurately assigns categories.
