Job summary

Sierra Medical Center, part of Northern Nevada Health System, is seeking an Emergency Department Registered Nurse for a part-time role with a $7,500 sign-on bonus and a flexible schedule. This position combines clinical care with a managerial function, collaborating with physicians, the Nurse Manager, and co-workers to respond rapidly to changes in patient condition.

Qualifications

• 2 years ED experience required
• Current RN license within the state of practice
• Current BCLS Certification
• ACLS Certified within six (6) months of hire
• PALS within six (6) months of hire
• ENPC and TNCC optional

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other specialists as required and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care.
• Ability to perform a head-to-toe assessment on all patients and reassessments as per policy.
• Ability to adequately assess and reassess pain and educate patient/family on pain management.
• Uses triage process to ensure timely and appropriate care to patients.
