Job summary

Sierra Medical Center, part of Northern Nevada Health System, seeks an Emergency Department RN to provide direct patient care in a fast-paced ED. The position includes a $7,500 sign-on bonus and supports a flexible, part‑time schedule with full benefits.

The role requires 2 years of ED experience, active RN license in the state, BCLS, and ACLS within six months of hire; PALS is required within six months, with ENPC/TNCC optional.

Qualifications

• 2 years ED experience required.
• Current RN license within state of practice.
• Current BCLS Certification.
• ACLS Certified within six (6) months of hire.
• PALS within six (6) months of hire.
• ENPC and TNCC optional.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care in the ED, evaluates outcomes, and adjusts nursing care as needed.
• Perform head‑to‑toe assessments on diverse patient populations (pediatric to geriatric).
• Assess and manage pain; educate patients and families on pain management.
• Utilize triage processes to ensure timely, appropriate patient care and accurate category assignment.
