Job summary

Sierra Medical Center, part of Northern Nevada Health System, is seeking a part-time Emergency Department Registered Nurse. The role blends clinical and managerial duties, delivering direct patient care in a fast-paced ED, while participating in staff hiring and interprofessional communication.

The position requires 2 years of ED experience, RN licensure in-state, and timely certifications. Sign-on bonus of $7,500 is offered with a flexible schedule to support work-life balance.

Qualifications

• 2 years ED experience required.
• Current RN license within the state of practice.
• Current BCLS Certification.
• ACLS Certified within six (6) months of hire.
• PALS within six (6) months of hire.
• ENPC and TNCC optional.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care and evaluates outcomes, consulting with specialists as required and adjusting nursing care to ensure optimal care.
• Perform head-to-toe assessments on all patients across age groups and reassess per policy.
• Assess and manage pain, educate patient and family on pain management.
• Use triage process to ensure timely and appropriate care and correctly assign triage categories.
