Job summary

Sierra Medical Center, part of Northern Nevada Health System, is seeking an Emergency Department Registered Nurse for a part-time role with a $7,500 sign-on bonus. The position delivers direct and indirect patient care in a fast-paced ED, with a focus on timely assessment and high-quality outcomes at our 170-bed facility in Reno, NV.

Requirements include 2 years of ED experience, current RN license in state, BCLS, ACLS within 6 months, and PALS within 6 months; ENPC/TNCC optional.

Qualifications

• 2 years ED experience required.
• Current RN license within the state of practice.
• Current BCLS Certification.
• ACLS Certified within six (6) months of hire.
• PALS within six (6) months of hire.
• ENPC and TNCC optional.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with specialists as required and adjusts nursing care to ensure optimal patient care.
• Perform a head-to-toe assessment on all patients across pediatric, adolescent and geriatric populations.
• Assess and educate on pain management and use appropriate pain techniques.
• Utilize triage processes to ensure timely and appropriate care.
