Job summary

Insurcomm Restoration, part of Fortify Companies, is seeking a Mitigation Technician to provide emergency restoration services for fire, water, mold, and storm damage. You will stabilize properties, prevent further damage, and deliver professional, compassionate service during stressful situations.

You’ll work on the front lines of recovery, collaborating with project teams and maintaining high safety and quality standards in various environments. Training and certification support are provided.

Qualifications

• Must obtain IICRC certification or pursue it within employer-provided timeframe.
• Proficient with hand and power tools.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor.
• Strong communication and customer service mindset.
• Acceptable driving record and reliable attendance.
• Ability to use smartphone and industry software (Proven Jobs, Encircle, Docusketch) for onsite documentation.
• Must wear and work in PPE as required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency mitigation calls and assess damage.
• Perform water extraction, structural drying per IICRC standards.
• Remove and dispose of damaged materials safely.
• Decontaminate, clean, and deodorize interior spaces.
• Collaborate with Contents Division to pack and store salvageable items.
• Document progress with photos and detailed notes using PSA and other software.
• Communicate clearly with clients with empathy and respect.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
• Operate and care for tools and equipment.
• Follow warehouse/vehicle protocols and document consumables.
